This pass marks the dividing line between the Golfo di Orosei's limestone gorges and the granite highlands of the interior, with a roadside overlook giving one of the most sweeping views in the Supramonte. The gorge of Su Gorropu is visible cutting through the plateau below, along with layered ridgelines fading toward the coast. It's a common starting point for hikers heading down into the gorge or across toward Punta Cusidore.
