Forca Canapine

Umbria

This saddle straddles the regional border at nearly 1,500 metres, with semi-wild horses grazing the surrounding grassland much of the year. It serves as one of the main approaches to the Piano Grande and Castelluccio, though the pass itself sees far fewer visitors than the plain below. Winter brings modest ski activity to slopes just off the road.
