Fondi Lagoon — Monte San Biagio

The Lago di Fondi is a coastal lagoon between the Circeo promontory and the Aurunci mountains, with flamingos and terns in the salt pans year-round. The adjacent Monte San Biagio has a clifftop Farnese castle above the town of Terracina. The combination of wetland, ancient Via Appia and Tyrrhenian coast makes this a varied walk.
