This is the most accessible beach in the Maratea area, backed by low dunes and a small pinewood, with the Fiumicello Bruca stream cutting across the sand to the sea. The darker sand near the stream mouth comes from mineral deposits washed down from the surrounding limestone hills. It gets busy in August but remains manageable in shoulder season.
