Set under an overhanging rock wall in the Majella foothills, Santo Spirito grew from a simple hermitage into a small monastery, with a "Scala Santa" cut into the cliff climbing to an isolated oratory. A short walk from the car park reaches it; longer trails link to other Majella hermitages.
