Between Paderno d'Adda and Cornate the Adda drops through rocky rapids that Leonardo da Vinci studied and drew. The towpath passes the 18th-century Paderno canal built to bypass them, the neo-medieval Semenza hydro power station, the Leonardo ferry at Imbersago and the traghetto he is said to have designed.
