Monte Civetta — Rifugio Coldai

Rifugio Coldai (2,132 m) gives the classic view of the Civetta north face (1,200 m sheer) — the 'Wall of Walls' that defined Dolomite climbing in the 1920s. The approach from Zoldo Alto passes through larch and dwarf pine to the refuge on the lake above. The Lago di Coldai (2,143 m) perfectly reflects the Civetta. Chamois visible above the refuge in the afternoon.
