Diga del Gleno, Val di Scalve

A mule track climbs from Pianezza above Vilminore to the Gleno, where a poorly built multiple-arch dam gave way in December 1923 and sent a wall of water down the Val di Scalve and into the Val Camonica. The broken arches still stand at the lip of a small lake, a stark memorial with a wide view over the Orobie.
