The Sacca di Scardovari in the Po Delta Regional Park is a large lagoon famous for its mussel and clam cultivation — the largest sea-mussel producing lagoon in the world. Greater flamingo (3,000+), spoonbill and Dalmatian pelican (rare — occasionally winter here) use the lagoon. The flat walking on the delta dykes is entirely suitable for dogs. The sunsets over the delta are extraordinary.
