Corno d'Aquilio

Veneto

This 1546m summit sits directly above Europe's deepest limestone shaft, the Spluga della Preta, and gives an exceptionally wide panorama for its modest height, from the Adamello group to the haze of the Adriatic plain on a clear day. The approach from Sant'Anna d'Alfaedo crosses classic Lessinia grazing land dotted with old stone malghe.
