Convento di San Francesco a Folloni, Montella

Founded in 1219 and rebuilt after a 1980 earthquake, the convent of Folloni sits in dense chestnut forest outside Montella, one of Irpinia's chestnut-growing towns. A gravel path climbs gently through the trees from the town, past a stream, to the convent's cloister and church.
