Comboé, Charvensod
Aosta Valley
A steep but steady mule track leaves Pila or Charvensod and climbs the Comboé stream into a hidden hollow of hay meadows, roofless huts and a small chapel, ringed by the Becca di Nona and Monte Emilius. The city is a few hundred metres below yet completely out of sight.
