The Colma di Sormano is the saddle at the foot of the Palanzone ridge, reached by road or on foot up the brutally steep "Muro di Sormano" cycling climb (now closed to cars, painted with riders' names). Meadow and forest paths lead on to the observatory and the Terrabiotta pastures.
