From the Sacro Monte Calvario a path climbs through chestnut and beech to the Alpe Lusentino and the grassy Colma (1,530 m), where a small chapel and the stumps of a 1930s cable car stand. The Ossola valleys fan out below and the Monte Rosa massif closes the western sky.
