Colline Moreniche — Valeggio sul Mincio

The colline moreniche (moraine hills) south of Lake Garda were deposited by the ancient Garda glacier. Valeggio sul Mincio spans a medieval bridge over the river and is the birthplace of tortellini — the town's restaurants claim the original recipe. Borghetto sul Mincio (a hamlet on the river) is one of Italy's most beautiful villages.
