Colli Euganei — Arquà Petrarca

The Colli Euganei are volcanic island hills rising abruptly from the flat Venetian plain, covered in vineyards, olive groves and medieval hilltop villages. Arquà Petrarca, named for the Italian poet who lived here and is buried in the village church (died 1374), is one of Italy's most beautiful small towns. The thermal waters from Abano Terme border the hills.
