Colle dell'Orso

Molise

Capracotta sits at nearly 1,400 metres, among the highest settlements in the Apennines, and this ridge above it climbs into open beech forest and rocky outcrops with views rolling across Molise's high plateau country. Snow lingers here well into spring, and the area doubles as cross-country ski terrain in winter.
