A rough panoramic road climbs from Mocchie or Viù to the broad grassy Colle del Colombardo, where the Rifugio Vulpot and a small chapel sit among hay meadows. Easy tracks lead along the ridge toward the Truc San Martino, with Rocciamelone filling the sky to the south-west and the Lanzo valleys opening north.
