Col de la Ranzola, Gressoney

The Col de la Ranzola (2,170 m) crosses from the Gressoney valley to the Ayas valley — a classic half-day ridge walk with the full south wall of the Monte Rosa massif ahead. The traverse is entirely above the treeline with flowery alpine meadows and the Lys glacier visible below the summit ridges. Steinbock (ibex) regularly seen on the rocky sections.
