Col de la Seigne (2,516 m) on the Franco-Italian border above La Thuile is the Italian gateway to the Tour du Mont Blanc — the long-distance trail that circuits the massif through Italy, France and Switzerland. The col gives a full frontal view of the Brenva face of Mont Blanc and the Glacier du Mont Blanc. Chamois herds on the Italian side. Golden eagle hunting above the col. Dogs off-leash.
