Giardino Botanico Paradisia, Cogne

The Giardino Paradisia at Valnontey near Cogne is one of Europe's finest alpine botanical gardens, at 1,700 m inside Gran Paradiso National Park. Over 1,000 Alpine plant species including the rare Paradisia lily (Paradisea liliastrum) are cultivated. The garden is adjacent to the Gran Paradiso national park trail to Rifugio Vittorio Sella, so ibex are sometimes visible from the gate.
