The Vallone delle Cime Bianche rises from Champoluc to 3,100 m — a high rocky valley surrounded by Monte Rosa's satellite peaks. The upper circuit connects multiple passes with views onto 10 glaciers simultaneously. The Stolemberg bivouac provides emergency shelter. This is serious mountain terrain — crampons useful in early season. Extraordinary in autumn with clear air and no other people.
