Certosa di Serra San Bruno

St Bruno of Cologne founded the second Carthusian house here in 1091. The monastery is closed to visitors, but a museum and the ruins of the old church can be seen, and a forest path leads to the church of Santa Maria del Bosco and the "Laghetto" spring pool where Bruno is said to have prayed.
