The Cave del Predil mine above Lago del Predil near Cave del Predil has been mined since Roman times for lead, zinc and silver — the mine operated until 1991. The Museo delle Miniere allows visitors to enter the mine tunnels on a guided tour, seeing the equipment, galleries and underground lakes. The mineral specimens are extraordinary. The valley geology reflects the Roman-era mineralogy. No dogs inside the mine.
