Castelsardo & the Roccia dell'Elefante

Sardinia

Castelsardo's medieval quarter spirals up to the Doria fortress with a wide view over the north coast, and is famous for its basket-weaving and the Lunissanti Easter processions. A few kilometres east, the wind-carved "Roccia dell'Elefante" hides prehistoric domus de janas tombs.
