Le Cascate del Vò, Bienno
Lombardy
Bienno lived for centuries on iron, and the Grigna's water drove its forges — you can still see one working. Above the village the stream falls through a narrow rock gorge, the "Vò", followed by a walking path (and a via ferrata) past a chain of cascades and the medieval irrigation channel that fed the mills.
