Cascata di Riva di Tures

Trentino-Alto Adige

The Riva torrent thunders down from the Vedrette di Ries glaciers through a rocky cleft close to the medieval Castel Tures, one of the best-preserved fortresses in the eastern Alps. The nature park it sits within protects one of the largest glaciated areas in South Tyrol, and the trail up to the falls is shaded by mixed spruce and larch forest most of the way.
