Cascata Lequarci & the Ulassai tacchi
Sardinia
After rain and snowmelt the Lequarci fans out over 70 m of cliff in one of the broadest falls in Sardinia; in dry spells it thins to threads. It sits under the "tacchi" of Ulassai — the village of the artist Maria Lai, whose "Legarsi alla montagna" ribbons and land-art works are dotted around.
