Cascata di Pianfei, Mondovì

The Cascata di Pianfei near Mondovì drops 30 m over a sandstone ledge in a narrow gorge in the Piedmont Prealps. The gorge has a swimming pool at the base of the falls in summer. Dippers nest on the falls. The forest above has golden oriole and nightingale in May. The approach is short (1.5 km) and accessible. One of the most underrated waterfall walks in Piedmont.
