The Cascata di Parrano near Parrano in the Orvietano falls 25 m over travertine terraces below the cliff village — almost completely unknown. The canyon below the village is narrow limestone with the Fosso di Parrano stream. Dipper and grey wagtail on the pool. The village of Parrano above is a gem — 200 inhabitants, a medieval castle and an extraordinary canyon view from the ramparts.
