Cascata di Lillaz — Sentiero Alto

Most visitors see only the lower Cascata di Lillaz viewpoint. The upper trail continues into the gorge above — a much wilder section where the Urtier torrent cascades through a narrow limestone canyon. In spring, ice formations coat the canyon walls. The upper trail enters Gran Paradiso National Park where ibex graze the slopes above. Only 20% of Lillaz visitors continue past the lower viewpoint.
