The Rio Cannavina drops in a single ribbon of around 100 m over a sandstone wall into a hidden gorge thick with poplar and willow. A rough path descends to the base from the road near the Cannavina bridge; the falls are impressive after rain and in the spring snowmelt, a trickle by late summer.
