The Cascade de la Saxe above Courmayeur on the Tour du Mont Blanc route falls 60 m from the hanging valley of the Saxe onto the lower TMB path. The approach meadow (above the village of Dolonne) gives a full direct view of the entire Mont Blanc massif — Grandes Jorasses, Aiguille du Midi, the summit. Alpine chough and golden eagle. Marmot in the upper meadow. Dogs off-leash.
