Cascata del Pis del Pesio

Piedmont

Deep in the Alta Valle Pesio, the "Pis" is the resurgence of the Pesio river: for a few weeks each spring snowmelt forces water out of a hole in the rock wall in a 25-metre jet, one of the Alps' most dramatic temporary waterfalls. A forest trail from Pian delle Gorre leads to the base.
