Cascata del Ferro
Lombardy
Above the hamlet of Bagni di Masino, the Cascata del Ferro drops over smooth pale granite slabs typical of the Val Masino's landscape, the same rock that makes the valley a magnet for climbers. The approach trail passes old thermal bath ruins and chestnut woods before reaching the falls. It draws a fraction of the visitors that nearby Val di Mello gets, despite similar scenery.
