The forest above Carovilli mixes beech with downy oak on gently rolling uplands, part of the same Alto Molise beech-forest landscape that includes the better-known Collemeluccio reserve nearby, but with far fewer visitors. Marked paths loop through the trees past occasional clearings with views toward the Mainarde.
