Capo Testa, Santa Teresa di Gallura
Sardinia
Capo Testa at the northern tip of Sardinia has wind-sculpted pink granite in extraordinary formations above the Strait of Bonifacio. Corsica is only 11 km away and clearly visible. The Roman quarry that supplied granite columns for the Pantheon in Rome is still visible on the cape. The water between Sardinia and Corsica has the strongest currents in the Mediterranean.
