From Sorisole, Villa d'Almè or Monte di Nese, mule tracks climb through chestnut wood and pasture to the iron cross and orientation table on Canto Alto. It is close enough to be a regular after-work hike for Bergamo, with the whole Po plain on one side and the Orobie foothills on the other.
