The Campo dei Fiori (1,226 m) regional park rises above Varese and was once home to the Grand Hotel Campo dei Fiori (1912), now a spectacular art nouveau ruin above the tree line. From the summit plateau seven lakes are visible simultaneously: Como, Maggiore, Varese, Monate, Comabbio, Biandronno and Ghirla.
