Following the path of the 6th-century Irish monk St Columbanus from Lake Como to the abbey at Bobbio, this camino crosses the Ligurian Apennines through ancient hospices and Romanesque churches. The terrain is varied — lake shores, mountain passes, river valleys — and crowds are virtually zero.
