The Cammino delle Pievi di Verona connects Romanesque 'pievi' — rural parish churches predating the year 1000 — across the Lessinia plateau above Verona. The three stages pass through Cimbrian villages with German roots, chestnut groves and a landscape unchanged since the Middle Ages. Churches are documented from the 7th to 12th centuries.
