This is one of the most photographed coves in the Aeolians, its clear water framed by the black volcanic rock of Punta Milazzese, where the low stone foundations of a Bronze Age settlement dating back over three thousand years still sit on the headland above. The trail down passes through typical Aeolian scrub of caper bushes and broom, with views across to the nearby islet of Basiluzzo. The water here stays notably calm, sheltered from prevailing winds by the surrounding rock.
