Cala Grande / Punta Manara
Liguria
Beyond the resort development of Sestri Levante's two bays, the coast toward Punta Manara turns abruptly wild, with a cliff-top trail through Mediterranean maquis leading to sweeping views back along the Tigullio coast. A steep side path drops to Cala Grande, a secluded pebble cove accessible only on foot and rarely crowded even in summer. The headland marks an informal boundary between the gentler Tigullio riviera and the wilder cliffs leading toward the Cinque Terre.
