Cala della Disa
Sicily
Further along the Zingaro coastal path than the more visited coves, Cala della Disa tends to draw fewer visitors, its narrow pebble strand backed by steep slopes of Sicily's only native palm, the dwarf fan palm (Chamaerops humilis). The clarity of the water here rivals anywhere on the reserve's coastline. Wild rabbits and the occasional Sicilian wall lizard dart through the scrub along the approach trail.
