Bric Tana, Entroterra Savonese

Liguria

Bric Tana (1,340 m) above Quiliano in the Savonese is one of the lesser-known Ligurian Apennine summits. A prehistoric cave in the limestone below the summit has produced Palaeolithic human remains. The summit gives a panorama from the Ligurian Sea (Savona and the Riviera) to the Maritime Alps and Monviso. The name 'Tana' (den) refers to the cave, used by bears in prehistory.
