Bric Tana above Millesimo in the Ligurian Apennines is a Palaeolithic cave with fossil deposits from 100,000 years ago — cave bear, spotted hyena, Mercck's rhinoceros and woolly mammoth bones found in the floor sediments. The cave is above a deep gorge of the Bormida di Millesimo. Guided tours available. The surrounding oak forest has roe deer and wild boar. No dogs inside.
