One of the last fragments of the great Po-plain forest, the Vanzago oasis mixes old oak-hornbeam wood, hedgerows and the two "Bugone" and "Newmann" ponds. Flat paths loop past hides for herons, woodpeckers and the reserve's roe deer, with an animal-recovery centre near the entrance.
