Col Visentin — Prealpi Trevigiane

Col Visentin (1,763 m) above Vittorio Veneto is the finest viewpoint in the Treviso Prealps — on clear days the Venice lagoon with St Mark's Basilica dome is visible (90 km south) while the Dolomites fill the northern horizon. The summit is reached through beech forest and meadows. Golden eagle soars in the afternoon thermal. The descent to the Cansiglio plateau is through mature beech.
