Bominaco — Oratorio di San Pellegrino

Abruzzo

Bominaco holds two Romanesque gems: the church of Santa Maria Assunta and the small Oratorio di San Pellegrino, whose interior is entirely painted with a vivid 1263 fresco cycle and one of the earliest illustrated calendars in Italy. A short climb leads to the castle ruins and a plateau view.
