Blockhaus & Rifugio Pomilio, Majella

The name comes from a 19th-century blockhouse built to fight brigands. Today the panoramic road from Pretoro and Passolanciano ends near Rifugio Pomilio, from where easy paths run along the Cima Blockhaus ridge with the Adriatic on one side and the Majella's inner plateau on the other.
